Dozens feared dead as Taiwan passenger plane crash lands during Typhoon Matmo

More than 40 people were killed in a plane crash in Taiwan on Wednesday, officials said, with local television reporting  the flight had smashed into two houses after an aborted landing.

A passenger plane of Taiwan’s TransAsia Airways on a domestic flight crashed during an attempted emergency landing on an outlying island on Wednesday, leaving 47 people dead and 11 injured, local media said.
